Visit colorful floating market to enjoy the bustling life on a tradional Vietnamese sampan, taste some handpick fresh fruits, discover the breathtaking landscapes along the river.
  ▪️ During a visit to a local workshop, visitors will witness the careful production of rice paste, rice paper, rice cookies, and rice wine. The abundance of palm trees is famous for coconut candy production. While the Vietnam cruise continues its journey upstream, take some leisure time to relax on your private balcony or savor an authentic Vietnamese coffee at the bar, all while observing the vibrant life along the riverbanks.

  ▪️ Welcome to the fish sanctuary of Vietnam! Following with morning Tai Chi session and a delightful breakfast, visitors will set out to explore this renowned aquaculture area. Upon disembarking, immerse yourselves in the lively town life of Tan Chau by hopping on "xelois" (Vietnamese rickshaws). With a personal xeloi driver, you will leisurely navigate through a network of streets, observing workshops, street vendors, shops, and the captivating daily activities of the locals.
  ▪️ Your journey includes a visit to the local market, where travellers mingle with residents during their morning shopping routines. Tourist also stop by a Cao Dai temple to meet with one of the priests, who enlightens us about the unique beliefs and spirit of Cao Dai. Your final destination is a fish farm operated by a local family for many years, everyone can try their luck at squid fishing from the boat with help from the crew.
  ▪️ To witness what Tan Chau is famous for, traveller board local boats and head to a floating fish farm, look into the world's largest inland aquaculture industry. Each floating fish farm has nets hanging down into the water to keep the fish enclosed, mainly tilapia and the basa catfish. These types of fish are special to the Mekong River area and are becoming more popular in seafood markets worldwide.
  ▪️ In the afternoon, you continue your journey upstream, crossing into Cambodia and heading towards Phnom Penh. Enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, fully embracing the calming rhythm of the river. Join in spa treatments, relax on the sun deck or on your private balcony.   ▪️ Your full-day sightseeing tour begins after breakfast, starting with a cyclo ride through town followed by visits to historic sites such as the palace and the silver pagoda. You will also explore the poignant "S21" prison, a dark chapter in Cambodia's history during the Khmer Rouge regime. After a delightful lunch, we'll continue our tour with a visit to the renowned Genocide history museum and a leisurely stroll through the French quarter, including the iconic Wat Phnom monument.
  ▪️ In the evening, join the crew for an engaging expert history lecture of Cambodia in the lounge. • DAY 5: Phnom Penh - Angkor Ban - Kampong Cham

  ▪️ Before dawn breaks, the Vietnam cruise will set sail from Phnom Penh towards the quaint Angkor Ban village along the Mekong River. Awaken to the gentle motion of the cruise and prepare for breakfast in the dining room. 

  ▪️ Located at the meeting point of the Tonle and Mekong Rivers, the little village of Prek Bangkong is home to a lively community known for its silk weaving. Formerly the home of the Royal family before they moved to the Royal Palace, today is the home for most skillful silk weaver. Delve into the fascinating world of silk production as we closely observe and learn about the complex process from start to finish.

  ▪️ The rural Angkor Ban village are truly rustic, house were made by hand and without any concrete. Angkor Ban village is renowned for its pristine community and charming traditional houses, offering a glimpse into a bygone era untouched by modernity. Experience the warmth and hospitality of the villagers, who welcome you with open arms.

  ▪️ Back on board, the Jayavarman cruise staff showcases a variety of traditional Khmer fashion before serving lunch.

  ▪️ Continuing our journey up the Mekong, tourist will visit a local school supported by an NGO, gaining insight into the education of Cambodia's youth. The children eagerly display their musical and artistic talent. Alternatively, you can choose to visit the nearby ancient 300-year-old temple and Buddha shrine.

• DAY 6: Kampong Cham - Wat Hanchey

  ▪️ Return to the cruise to witness a blessing ceremony conducted by orange-clad local monks, infusing the atmosphere with spirituality and tranquility, imparting blessings for health and prosperity to all passengers. • DAY 7: Kampong Cham - Kampong Chhnang

  ▪️ This morning, the Jayavarman Vietnam cruise will approach Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia’s “Water World” which is the most attractive destination in Cambodia.
  ▪️ After moving to the sampan to reach the shore, you are going to visit a wonderful village nearby by bus. Exploring the village on your own feet and learn how villager make Khmer-styled pottery and palm sugar at the Aundaung Russey village. Then, get back to the river for an adventurous motorboat excursion to the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region. 
  ▪️ Visitor then return to the Ship for lunch while cruising the narrow and meandering Tonle Sap River. A presentation about the Mekong and the Tonle River is offered as the ship sails downstream, passing Phnom Penh before entering the Mekong River.

Relax and enjoy a second cup of coffee before you embark on a short bus ride to the pier. As you bid adieu to the iconic sights of Angkor, the cruise travel a brief distance to the serene shore of Tonle Lake. From there, a local boat awaits to ferry you to the luxurious vessel, your home away from home for the upcoming days.

  ▪️ While you enjoy your lunch onboard, the vessel gracefully glide glides along the Tonle Sap – the flowing heart of Cambodia, giving love and life to this nation. The Tonle Sap has more fish than any other lake in the world and is home to an incredible variety of birds, including rare – and endangered – feathered life.

  ▪️ This magnificent lake undergoes a remarkable transformation throughout the seasons. During the dry season, it spans approximately 2,500 sqkm (965 sqmi) and stretches 160 km (99 mi) in length, whereas in the wet season, it expands to an astonishing area of 16,000 sqkm (6,000 sqmi) and extends 250 km (160 mi) in length. Allow yourself to drift away as the boat traverses this serene lake.

  ▪️ In the afternoon, during teatime, take the opportunity to mingle with fellow travelers and share stories on the decks. Alternatively, treat yourself to a relaxing session with cruise therapists at the Spa, indulging in some well-deserved pampering.

  ▪️ Start the day with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck, just as the sun begins its slow rise. Coffee and tea awaits the early bird. Before dawn, the ship sets sail across the Tonle Lake. As the ship is about to exit the lake, you will see spectacular marshlands floating along the river banks of Kampong Chhnang province.
  ▪️ The afternoon cruise continues with a languid meander along the Tonle River, which narrows through leafy swaths of the Southeast Asian jungle. Here, the river is very narrow and tourists are greeted by kids waving enthusiastically at us from the banks.
  

  ▪️ Follow a short bus trip to the see the Khmer-styled pottery at the Aundaung Russey village. We then embark on a truly marvelous motorboat excursion from Kampong Chhnang to see the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region before reaching Kampong Cham in the evening.
  

  ▪️ Further down the river we take part in an ox cart rally before being introduced to the Heritage Line pro bono “literacy project”.

• DAY 3: Kampong Cham - Wat Hanchey

  ▪️ Rise early to witness the breathtaking water-world scenery at dawn, providing a perfect backdrop for our morning Tai Chi class.

  ▪️ After indulging in a sumptuous breakfast, you will embark on a bus journey to visit a local school, gaining insight into the education of Cambodia's young generation, supported by an NGO. The children here eagerly showcase their talents in music and art, brightening our visit with their smiles and enthusiasm.

  ▪️ Continuing our road trip, you will arrive at the enchanting pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey, dating back to the 7th century. Perched atop a hill by the shore, this small complex offers breathtaking views of the Mekong River. Take a motor-taxi or climb 291 steps to the top. Located at the top of a hill overlooking the river, this is one of the most breath-taking views in Cambodia.

  ▪️ Built in the 8th century, this ancient structure, together with a bigger and newer addition underscores the superb architecture of the Chenla Empire which predates the mighty Angkor temple complex. Get to engage in light banter with some of the monks in the area. You will return to the cruise to witness a blessing ceremony performed by orange-clad local monks.
  ▪️ Cruise towards Kampong Cham to visit Wat Nokor, a temple built within the ruins of an ancient temple which holds a timeless story.  Along the way, visitor will have to maneuver a 2-kilometer rickety bamboo bridge. Overnight midstream near Phnom Penh.

  
  

• DAY 4: Phnom Penh

  ▪️ Day 4 introduces guests to the captivating city of Phnom Penh, steeped in centuries of history and culture. After a satisfying breakfast, your indepth sightseeing tour begin, providing an opportunity to discover the city's highlights. You will begin with a delightful cyclo ride through the bustling streets, followed by visits to significant landmarks.

  ▪️ You will be captivated by a comprehensive lecture on Cambodia’s modern history through a city tour, visiting the dazzling white and gold edifice of the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, and witnessing exceptionally beautiful Khmer craft at the National Museum. Our first stop is the Royal Palace, situated at the heart of the capital. Explore the palace grounds, adorned with exquisite gardens, and marvel at the intricate temples and statues. A highlight of the Royal Palace complex is the Silver Pagoda, renowned for its floor adorned with an impressive 5 tonnes of shimmering silver.

  ▪️ After a delight lunch in a city restaurant, continue to the Genocide Museum and the Killing Field in town to understand more about the magnanimous history during Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge regime.
  ▪️ You will go back to the Vietnam cruise after our museum visit. Take a rest on your cabin balcony or the lounge and get prepared for an exciting evening event.

  ▪️ The evening starts with a variety of cocktails served on the sun deck. Take a seat and enjoy the following Apsara dance performance. Experience the brilliance and richness of this culture, the soothing sounds of traditional music, the calming scent of incense sticks and a barbeque on the sun deck.   ▪️ In the afternoon, as the ship sets sail southbound on the majestic Mekong River towards Vietnam, the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Embrace the tranquil rhythm of the river, immersing yourself in the soothing ambiance. Whether you opt for a comfortable massage, bask in the sun on the terrace deck, or unwind on your private balcony, let yourself be enchanted by the serene flow of the river. For those eager to delve deeper into Khmer cuisine, a culinary workshop awaits, offering insights into local gastronomy.

• DAY 6: Chau Doc - Sa Dec

  ▪️ Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at the Indochine Dining Hall or in the quiet sanctuary of your balcony. Morning short excursion in Chau Doc, a pleasant town near the Cambodian border with Chinese, Kinh and Khmer communities.

  ▪️ Upon disembarking in Chau Doc, we are greeted by the vibrant pulse of local life as we board "xelois," traditional Vietnamese rickshaws. Led by personal xeloi drivers, visitors will leisurely traverse the network of streets, immersing ourselves in the bustling atmosphere. Along the way, you will witness the lively scenes of workshops, street vendors, and shops, offering a glimpse into the daily rhythms of the community. Travellers also visit the colorful local market near an ancient temple. This is followed by a trip to the dock, where you will hop on a boat to the floating villages and rustic catfish farms.

  ▪️ After enjoy watching schools of basa fish being fed by hand, get back to the ship for a lunch. In the mid afternoon, you will set off for My An Hung Village. Walk to the family house through the vegetable garden to see the boat building yard, canals, then cross a monkey bridge and see chili, corn and beetle nut plantations amongst other vegetable fields. Then gather at the familys house to taste tea with honey with local delicacies and fruits before back to the ship to set off for Sa Dec.

• DAY 7: Sa Dec - Cai Be - My Tho

  ▪️ Wake early to embrace the stunning dawn scenery, a time when the Delta's inhabitants have already been active for hours. Energize yourself with Vietnam cruise daily morning routine Tai Chi class before indulging in a lavish breakfast buffet. 

  ▪️ In the morning, embark a traditional sampan (a flat bottomed traditional Vietnamese wooden boat) to tour Binh Thanh Island and its man-made canals. Here, every villager is involved in the process of growing and processing water hyacinths into natural fiber floor mats and rattan baskets.

  ▪️ After lunch onboard, the ship arrives in Cai Be. The tour starts with a visit to Cai Be’s boisterous and colorful floating market where traders gather in a cacophonous congregation. During the languid ride, we discover breathtaking landscapes along the river and quaff the rustic life on the Mekong Delta. The evergreen islands along the Mekong River remains unknown to many people.

• DAY 8: My Tho - Disembark - Saigon

  Passengers will enjoy the farewell meal onboard. Afterward, guests depart from the ship and hop on a bus from My Tho to Saigon. 

  The trip is only 70 kilometers on the highway, with an expected arrival in Saigon about the middle of the morning.
