▪️ This morning, the Jahan will approach Kampong Chhnang, Cambodia’s “Water World” where everything is on stilts balanced on water rich soil – an awesome sight while practicing Tai Chi on the deck.
▪️ Take a minivan to see the Khmer-styled pottery at the Aundaung Russey village. Then, get back to the river for an adventurous motorboat excursion to the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region. The village has no electricity and has around 600 villagers.
▪️ You then return to the cruise for lunch while cruising the narrow and meandering Tonle Sap River. A presentation about the Mekong and the Tonle River is offered as the ship sails downstream, passing Phnom Penh before entering the Mekong River.▪️ In the evening, a sumptuous dinner will be served. The Tonle Sap has more fish than any other lake in the world and is home to an incredible variety of birds, including rare and endangered feathered life. ▪️ Start the day with an invigorating Tai Chi lesson on the sun deck, just as the sun begins its slow rise. Coffee and tea awaits the early bird. Before dawn, the ship sets sail across the Tonle Lake. As the ship is about to exit the lake, you will see spectacular marshlands floating along the river banks of Kampong Chhnang province.
▪️ The afternoon cruise continues with a languid meander along the Tonle River, which narrows through leafy swaths of the Southeast Asian jungle. Here, the river is very narrow and tourists are greeted by kids waving enthusiastically at us from the banks.▪️ Follow a short bus trip to the see the Khmer-styled pottery at the Aundaung Russey village. We then embark on a truly marvelous motorboat excursion from Kampong Chhnang to see the wetlands, floating houses and fish farms in the region before reaching Kampong Cham in the evening.

▪️ Continuing our road trip, you will arrive at the enchanting pre-Angkorian temple of Wat Hanchey, dating back to the 7th century. Perched atop a hill by the shore, this small complex offers breathtaking views of the Mekong River. Take a motor-taxi or climb 291 steps to the top. Located at the top of a hill overlooking the river, this is one of the most breath-taking views in Cambodia.
▪️ Built in the 8th century, this ancient structure, together with a bigger and newer addition underscores the superb architecture of the Chenla Empire which predates the mighty Angkor temple complex. Get to engage in light banter with some of the monks in the area. You will return to the cruise to witness a blessing ceremony performed by orange-clad local monks.

▪️ Visitors will take lunch at a fine restaurant in town, continue to sight-seeing the Genocide Museum and the Killing Field in town to understand more about the magnanimous history during Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge regime. Upon arrival ashore, you will embark on "xelois," local vehicles still utilized as taxis in this region, to leisurely explore Chau Doc's streets, workshops, and residences. Experience the laid-back atmosphere of this charming locale, stopping at the vibrant local market near one of the town's temples to engage with friendly vendors and hone your bargaining skills.
▪️ Next, visitors board local boats to cruise along floating houses until reaching a floating fish farm, where you gain exclusive insights into fish farming practices that supply fish worldwide. After enjoy watching schools of basa fish being fed by hand, get back to the ship for a lunch. Then gather at the family’s house to taste tea with honey with local delicacies and fruits before back to the ship to set off for Sa Dec.

▪️ During the breakfast time, the cruise line arrive at the island of Binh Thanh. In the morning, embark a traditional sampan (a flat bottomed traditional Vietnamese wooden boat) to tour Binh Thanh Island and its man-made canals. This island is one of the larger ones in the vast stream of the Mekong. Some communities have settled here and make their living by growing water hyazinths.
▪️ Visitor visit exclusively one of those untouched areas. By wandering through the village you will get a deep understanding of the native life. Here, every villager is involved in the process of growing and processing water hyacinths into natural fibre floor mats and rattan baskets. Moreover, guests can follow the whole process of ratt making and even try yourself the weaving which is still done manually. Travelers will meet some old local people who share with us their story on this island and happy for any chit-chat with you.
▪️ After lunch onboard, the ship arrives in Cai Be. Cai Be is a charming small town, famous for its Catholic French church and manufacturing of traditional crafts and food products. The tour starts with a visit to Cai Be’s boisterous and colorful floating market where traders gather in a cacophonous congregation. During the languid ride, we discover breathtaking landscapes along the river and quaff the rustic life on the Mekong Delta. The evergreen islands along the Mekong River remains unknown to many people.
▪️ The cruise allow us to observe how rice paste, rice cookies and coconut candies are made, along with the Longan fruit drying process. After touring the canals, we head to an ancient house surrounded by fruit orchards before heading to the ship for dinner.
